For my talk at News UK last week I wanted to bring along a one-off print for the lovely people I was presenting my work to. With one of their office’s near London Bridge I thought it would be fun to capture the chaos of Borough Market in all its lunch-break glory!🍕🍔🌭 I illustrated this limited edition A4 giclée print and really got stuck into making it as jam packed as possible with lots of hidden easter eggs. Really enjoyed playing around with warped perspectives, adding some gradients to my work and illustrating such a classic London spot! New personal work! ✏️ I’ve been splitting my time in the studio recently by exploring new personal work and focusing on outreach. For this illustration I wanted to explore compositions with more depth, narratives within a single image and more dynamic characters. I always find it weirdly satisfying how close my final artworks sit next to my concept sketches and thought I’d share the process which if you swipe through you’ll see. For me the hardest part is always coming up with the concept, something that I like to spend the most time on - the rest of it comes relatively easily most of the time! New work for @yahoo ✌🏻💫 Last year I was commissioned by the wonderful folks at @yahoo to design a set of illustrated pictograms that would help users identify different categories on the Yahoo homepage. I really enjoyed the opportunity to work on such a small scale, it’s something I love doing and I’m so happy with how this project turned out. When I first started out as a commercial illustrator I was creating icon libraries so it was a nice full circle moment to work on a job like this. Hello! Thought I’d share some new personal work that I’ve been playing around with in the studio this week, inspired by an upcoming trip to Paris! 🇫🇷 It’s taken a little while for me to find my groove with personal work recently but I’m really happy with this illustration. Everything seems to slot together just right and it feels like it’s got a nice balance to it with negative space, colour and a bit of cheeky character design. By the end of the trip I’m hoping to be nearly half as cool as this handsome chap strutting his stuff around town with his fashionable furry friend 😎 January’s always a quiet start to the year so I’ve been taking a bit more time to cover ground on outreach, explore some new personal work and get on with my dreaded tax return. Hey folks! 👋🏻 The first week back in the studio is coming to a close, so I thought I’d share something I made as a little warm-up exercise to dust off the winter cobwebs 🖼️ ✏️ It’s a still life piece inspired by different styles of pottery and some truly insane 1970s fruit displays, but it’s also an exercise in simply creating an artwork for the fun of it — straight from my imagination to paper/screen. When I first went freelance, I loved making illustrations I’d coined as “organised chaos”, so this one probably belongs in that part of my brain. This month marks my three-year freelance anniversary, which is kind of wild to me. So much time has passed and I’ve been lucky enough to work with some incredible clients, for which I’m hugely grateful. Looking ahead to 2026, there are lots of things I’d love to do and plenty of people I’d love to work with, but for now I’m keeping it simple with a bit of good old-fashioned personal work.
