Hell Bar was conjured up by Jason Kapalka, the mastermind behind Toronto’s Stormcrow Manor and Vancouver’s witch-themed Arcana restaurant. Jason is no stranger to immersive worlds—before creating themed dining experiences, he was a video game developer, dreaming up imaginative realms that millions explored. Stormcrow became Toronto’s “nerd bar,” a haven for geeks and pop-culture fans, while Arcana brought the occult and witchcraft into Vancouver’s dining scene. With Hell Bar, Jason set out to create something more provocative, theatrical, and unapologetically wild—a Halloween pop-up that embraces both satire and spectacle. The idea was simple: take the creativity of themed restaurants and push it to the limits of the underworld.
