Watched The Mummy again recently and really vibed off the janky effects. Imhotep looks like he’s constantly making the soy face. Lots of great anguished faces. Not a good film, but it’s campy, End Of History-era fun.
Visited Tiritiri Matangi for the first time with my mum and brother. Saw one of the world’s 418 remaining Takahe, as well as the biggest Weta I’d ever encountered- bad boy’s body was like three inches long 😰
