Happy Spring Equinox 💚
One of my biggest projects yet! I originally customized and created this piece as a birthday gift to myself back in December. I wasn’t satisfied with the length of the skirt or the sleeves (I love a long dramatic sleeve) and went back to rework it. Now I am obsessed!! Thank you so much to my beautiful and multitalented sister @earthangelheals for capturing this piece. Did I mention she created my custom bracelet and necklace pictured? GIFTED HANDS!!!

When I tell y’all blood sweat and tears went into this‼️Smino really set the bar with the Bjorn hoodies. I wanted to create that same level of cozy and comfort by sewing a satin lining inside of the hood and pocket. Learning to sew has been on my to do list for a minute and for those of you who have inquired about satin/cotton lined items IT IS TIMEEEE!
📚Special shoutout to Ms. Gwen for taking the time to coach me through this process. Libraries are one of the most slept on resources! The Makerspace has flexible hours and provides you with all of the tools needed to work on your craft. It gave me the opportunity to do a trial run with sewing machines before investing in my own.📚
