⚠️Sappy Post Warning ⚠️ Reflecting on last weekend brought me a lot of pride... the kind that comes from early mornings, long drives, and scraped knuckles. Being able to walk beside my sons through moto life, the wins and the upsets, is one of the greatest privileges I’ll ever have. They’re both far beyond any skill I have on a dirtbike. I can’t throw “fat whips” or “carry more roll speed” for them (though Lord knows I’d try 😂… ) But I sure am there for every moment around it! The bike and meal preparation, the encouragement, the conversations when things didn’t go the way they hoped… the endless miles of travel, piles of dirty gear, and library of photos and videos to study. And I am proud of the young men my sons are becoming with all that effort. Proud of their determination, their resilience, their willingness to keep going when things get tough. Sharing in their struggles and celebrating their victories has shown me something powerful: raising boys into good men isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence, patience, believing in them even when the track gets rough (and muddy) and, yes, reminding them that there is more to life than what happens between the foot pegs. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t LOVE the school of motocross my family has subscribed to… and the extended family we’ve built in it. ❤️🏁 Feeling extra grateful today… and looking forward to the work we all have the privilege to keep putting in for the next race.
