[$OLD] 1993 Cartoon Network Moxy’s Live… The Great International Toon-In Tee (L)
One of the earliest pieces of Cartoon Network history! 🏁
This shirt was released to promote the Great International Toon-In on November 26, 1993 and was broadcasted simultaneously across Cartoon Network, TBS, and TNT.
This event marked the debut of Moxy, the channel’s FIRST original character. Also, it’s wild now seeing how they experimented with early CGI tech, which looks so outdated now. Mostly forgotten to time, Moxy was the face of the CN before newer toons like Dexter, Johnny Bravo, and Cow & Chicken made their debut.
Front hit features the host in all his glory while the back shows the Toon-In’s logo and air date.
I love seeing early pieces like this, cool how CN was thinking outside the box instead of just airing classic shorts.
