Had a chat with Travis from Emergency Rule about their upcoming Japan tour and somehow landed on a fucking cool space panther. That was enough. Went straight into it and didn’t hold back.
Built out the hero illustration, then developed a stack of smaller graphics to run through animation and across the merch. Everything ties back to that central idea but gives them range to push it in different directions on tour.
The original concept, last slide in the carousel, was leaning hard into old school black light poster energy. Big Japanese characters, loud colour, full neon Tokyo feel. We pulled it back from there, tightened the palette into more of that Ninja Turtles ooze zone, simplified the typography and let the illustration do the heavy lifting.
Tour’s looking wild. Proper jealous I’m not on the ground for it.
