At the center of Carleton West was an 1800s carriage house, later owned by Maine Medical Center, with a lot of character and a lot of potential. That structure became a key part of the project, carefully renovated alongside two new twin builds to create a residential development that feels rooted in the neighborhood rather than dropped into it. The finished carriage house now offers multi-floor living, private outdoor terraces, and roof deck space, bringing new life to a building that had already been part of Portland’s story for generations.
We are proud of our own Nicole Lemieux, Operations Manager at Hebert Construction, for representing our team at Maine Women’s Network’s Breaking Barriers: Thriving in a Male Dominated Field.
Nicole brought thoughtful perspective, experience, and leadership to an important conversation about building a career in a traditionally male-dominated industry. We are grateful to have her on our team and proud to see her share her voice alongside other women making an impact in their fields.
Thank you to Maine Women’s Network for creating space for this conversation and for bringing together such a strong group of speakers.
We wrapped up the week in style! 🙌 Friday we welcomed our 3M reps and Milwaukee Tool out to the jobsite, along with Mainely Burgers, to celebrate the end of winter and get hands-on with the latest 3M Fall Protection Systems. Great food, great gear, and a great crew — that's how we do it at Hebert Construction. Safety never looked so good. 🍔🔧
From early mornings to final walkthroughs, these are the people behind the progress—steady, skilled, and always raising the bar. Thanks for being part of what makes this team special.
AGC Maine’s Maine Construction Hike for Hope is a chance for our industry and our communities to come together in support of suicide prevention, mental health awareness, and the people affected by both.
On May 16, participants can join the event in Bangor or Westbrook and help bring more visibility, conversation, and hope to an issue that touches too many lives. We encourage our partners, peers, and community members to take part, support the cause, and help keep this important conversation moving forward.

At Trinity Jubilee, one of the early challenges came with foundation work in the middle of winter. Our team worked through tough conditions using ground thaw machines and heat blankets to keep the project moving forward. From there, a strong group effort carried the job ahead, from the field team to the office staff to the subcontractors who showed up every day ready to do the work right.
Carleton West was built with collaboration at the center of the project. Buyers who reserved homes during construction had the opportunity to customize finishes, layouts, and upgrades alongside the project team. That level of coordination required tight scheduling and communication, but the result is a set of homes that reflect the people who will live in them.

Wedgewood Block in Lewiston has been recognized as one of MEREDA’s Top Notable Projects of 2025, selected as one of just seven honorees statewide.
The redevelopment transformed an underutilized site into a vibrant residential community with 82 new housing units across eight new buildings and one restored historic structure.
This is an exciting recognition for a project that reflects the impact thoughtful construction can have on Maine communities.

For the new cPort Credit Union in Lewiston, Hebert Construction completed the full demolition of the existing building and delivered a bright, modern space designed for the community. Large glass walls and a pyramid skylight bring in natural light, creating an open and welcoming branch for members. Built in just 10 months, the project is another example of what strong planning, teamwork, and trusted partnerships can deliver.

Hebert Construction was proud to be part of Lewiston Middle School Builds today at the Lewiston Public Library! 🏗️ Our own Nicole Lemieux and Tim Mancine joined Cara from KTA Architects to present to local students on how zoning decisions shape our communities — using our recently completed Wedgewood Block project as a real-world example. After the presentation, students put their new knowledge to work, designing their own cities from the ground up — thinking through everything from housing and schools to transportation and parking. It was inspiring to see the next generation thinking critically about what makes a great community. We love investing in our hometown!
Over the years, our team has worked alongside Dirigo FCU and Element Group to support rebranding, renovations, and new branches across their network. This latest project carries that partnership forward with a modern branch designed for long term service.

The townhomes at Carleton West were designed to raise the bar for urban living in Portland. Two ground-up builds, each thoughtfully planned to balance space, privacy, and long-term livability. Four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, two-car garages, optional private elevators, and rooftop decks that open up the city around you. Every detail reflects a clear goal: deliver high-end homes that feel as functional as they are refined.
