Nach dem Debütalbum "Value of Freedom" (2020) und Shows mit Bands wie Pro Pain, Rykers und Within Destruction folgte ein Rückschlag: Line-Up-Wechsel und Pandemie zwangen die Band zur Neuausrichtung. Härter, düsterer, kompromissloser – THROWBACK fand zurück und veröffentlichte 2021 "Vicious Instinct". Internationale Aufmerksamkeit ließ nicht lange auf sich warten. Die nächste Band ist da. 🔥 "A Memory Misread ist eine österreichische Metalband, die Anfang 2019 mit der Vision gegründet wurde, die besten Genres aus modernem Metal zu kombinieren, um daraus einen einzigartigen und originellen Sound zu kreieren. Mit dem persönlichen Ziel, ein Debütalbum zu veröffentlichen, begann die Band in den Folgemonaten mit der Arbeit an ersten Songs und startete mit der Aufnahme ihrer EP "Point of View", welche 2020 erschien. Als erste zwei Singles dieser Debüt-EP wurden "Wretched Earth" und "It Starts Today" über verschiedene digitale Musikplattformen veröffentlicht. 2021 folgte die Single "Guiding Light". Auf der EP "Contrasts"(2022) verfeinerte die Band ihren persönlichen Sound und kombiniert den Klang von 6- und 7-saiter E-Gitarren miteinander. Nach dem Abgang von Felix Kriechbaum übernahm 2025 Vilmos Szabo den Bass – und das nun wieder fünfköpfige Bandgespann setzt die musikalische Reise fort. The next band is here. 🔥 "A Memory Misread is an Austrian metal band that was founded in early 2019 with the vision of combining the best elements of modern metal genres to create a unique and original sound. With the personal goal of releasing a debut album, the band began working on their first songs in the following months and started recording their EP Point of View, which was released in 2020. The first two singles from this debut EP, Wretched Earth and It Starts Today, were released on various digital music platforms. In 2021, the single Guiding Light followed. On the EP Contrasts (2022), the band refined their distinctive sound, combining the tones of 6- and 7-string electric guitars. After the departure of Felix Kriechbaum, Vilmos Szabo took over on bass in 2025 – and the now five-piece lineup continues its musical journey. New material is currently being developed for release in 2026."
