I still haven’t processed Rod’s passing. This series of photos was from a very special and memorable evening at Aquarium of the Bay in 2024 where he was being honored. He really did have the whole world in his hands while simultaneously making each and every one of his @sjrotaryclub members feel seen and empowered to do good in the world. He personally championed me and made sure I had opportunities and recognitions. I know he did that for many many others and that’s why there’s a flood of photos this weekend. We will carry the torch for you, Rod. It’s the least we can do. Forever grateful for your friendship and inspiration.

You know what’s better than being carded? Going to Target with my mom to pick up spring tidying bins and a lady asks if I’m going off to college or moving out. And my mom responding “she’s pushing 60!” I bet the basement overhaul will feel even better than that.
