Meditation is a folk practice. Yes, it has ancient spiritual roots. But the practice is essentially a people’s practice. And mindfulness is an innate human capacity.
When I guide a meditation, I’m not assuming a position of guru or sage, I’m just holding space for you to witness something you already have.
If you’re one of the many people I’ve talked to who either think meditation is just for zen spiritual types, or who’ve tried meditation and think you’re not good at it because your mind wanders, then this practice is for you. Join me on Wednesday, February 25th and you’ll see that mind wandering isn’t a failure, it’s part of the practice.
