Two hours outside of New York City. Waterfalls on the drive up. Deer on the road. Snow on our last day at @deermountaininn . One of the top properties we’ve had the privilege of working with — the kind of place that reminds you why the details matter.

I’ve photographed a lot of dinners. But walking into this one felt like stepping into a different world. The kind of image you save on Pinterest and think there’s no way this is real — it was that. Every detail, every person in that room. Many years shooting with @stayfitbritt and watching this dream become real in front of me — wow. One of the most beautiful studios in Dallas. 🪩
@soneva thinks through everything before you think to ask. The arrival alone sets the tone — cold towels, fresh juice, water in every direction the moment you step off the boat. From there the week just unfolds. In-villa omakase, a private dolphin boat on the Indian Ocean, daily bike rides down to our favorite beach for another fresh pressed juice. And yes, the roof above the bed opens up so you can fall asleep under the actual sky.
The team treats hospitality like a craft and it shows in every detail.

Some of the biggest moments in my career were the ones I almost didn’t share.
Creativity has always come in waves for me — a constant love–hate relationship with what I produce. Some seasons feel effortless, and others make me question everything.
This past year brought opportunities I once hoped for, and strangely, instead of rushing to share them, I found myself holding them close. Almost like I was quietly keeping those moments to myself.
I’ve thought a lot about why. It wasn’t because I didn’t care about the work — if anything, I think I was still trying to process it. When things you once hoped for start happening, it can take a moment to even realize you’re standing in the middle of them.
So instead of announcing every step forward, I stayed quiet and kept working.
I think sometimes we assume progress should always feel loud or obvious. But a lot of the time it’s much quieter than that — it’s just showing up, continuing the work, and slowly realizing how far you’ve come.

Casa Loma doesn’t compete with its surroundings, it echoes them. The woods, the beach, the natural textures, and the golden hour light bleeding through the rooms make it feel like it’s part of the landscape. @casalomabeachhotel
