Before we announce the winner(s) for August 2025, we felt it was important to look back and share some statistics from the first 12 months of offering official Heartworkers Union Youth Scholarships 📈📈📈 🔥🔥🔥❤️💪🏽💯 We first launched this idea in August 2024 not sure how long we would be able to sustain it, but with the generous support of our donors and volunteers, we have been able to grant over $4,000 to 18 different youth from 6 different California Counties all off of networking and building community with like-minded and like-hearted people from all over the state! Spanning multiple generations, cultures, and backgrounds with a shared vision of giving back and empowering the next generation of Heartworkers‼️ We have plans of expanding our offerings and being a resource for many more communities throughout California, but first we must expand our TEAM! Please share about Heartworkers Union and consider donating or volunteering this next year and beyond... We would love to bring interns and apprentices along with us as we grow, and we would also love to offer some paid opportunities as well! Can you help with website design & maintenance? 2026 HWU Scholarships are starting off bigger and better than ever! There was not one clear winner, so we decided to grant TWO $500 Scholarships to these students who are leaders in their respective communities and who not only submitted well-written applications, but also provided impressive letters of recommendation that detailed how they truly embody what it means to be a "Heart Worker". Heartworkers Union is honored and proud to award our first Scholarships of 2026 to 7th Grader Alex Jimenez and 10th Grader Carmelo Mata - Great students, great young men, creative, curious, compassionate, aspiring athletes and musicians with unlimited potential!  We look forward to supporting Alex & Carmelo however we can!
