Food, community, good energy
April said “We Out Here” and I listened 😌
From BQT, yoga flows, outreach in the community, tapping into culture at CAAM, to getting grounded in the garden 😮💨 it’s been a month full of movement, connection, and purpose. Truly grateful to be doing work that pours into our people while growing myself in the process.
Booked, busy, and aligned… and we’re just getting started.
The journey continues ✨

Welcome to LGBTQ Health Awareness Week!
It’s a time to highlight LGBTQ health needs and make it easier to find care and support.
If you’ve been meaning to get back on track with your health, this is a simple place to start. You can browse what APLA Health offers at aplahealth.org by clicking Services. #linkinbio
If you’re not sure what you need yet, that’s okay. Primary care is a good first step.
Save this for later, or share it with someone in LA who might need it.

March lineup just dropped 🍀
This month at BQT we’re bringing community, conversation, and a little March Madness energy.
🎬 March 5 – Movie Night
We’re kicking the month off with a film screening honoring Women’s History Month, featuring Life Support starring Queen Latifah. The film highlights the resilience of women impacted by HIV and the power of community care. After the screening we’ll open the floor for conversation and reflections.
🏀 March 12 – “Bae or Benched”
March Madness meets queer sports culture. We’ll spotlight openly LGBTQ+ athletes across sports and the Olympics, celebrate their impact, and play an interactive game where the audience decides who’s Bae… or Benched. Expect laughs, friendly debates, and some history on queer representation in athletics.
🧠 March 19 – Unmasking the Mind
A community conversation about mental health, emotional armor, and the pressures Black queer men carry. Through reflection and dialogue we’ll explore how we show up for ourselves, our relationships, and our community while navigating stress, expectations, and identity.
🎤 March 24 – H.E Sings @ KISO LA
We’re closing out the month with our monthly collaboration with El Saludable. Join us for a night of music, culture, and community as Healthy Him & El Saludable come together for a karaoke-style celebration at KISO Los Angeles. Good vibes, good voices (or at least enthusiastic ones), and a chance to connect outside the usual setting.
Pull up, bring a friend, and build community with us all month long 💚

During Black History Month, our very own Healthy Him Program Coordinator was asked to be a part of Men’s Health Foundation Podcast. Speaking on the trials and tribulations of all the intersectionalities of being Black, but also working in Public Health.
Special thanks to @menshealthfound for the opportunity 💙
