Open-format DJs, that move between sounds with no respect for borders and every respect for the dancefloor, is what some would fall into Donnieās no ending parameters.
Sets that pull from me to you, to you, to me and everywhere all at once. Spanning Afro-R&B, Alternative Pop, Hip Hop, Amapiano, Baile Funk, Garage, House, Jersey Club, Techno and everything in between, this isnāt a short shop run with a Medi list of ingredients, itās the big monthly. Itās less about genre, more about momentum-jumping eras and moods. IYKYK, and if you donāt, well then you donāt.
From forgotten cult cuts, flipping them next to current niche obscurities, then spinning, reversing and parallel parking straight into something you didnāt see coming. Nostalgia, but reworked with the old, the new and the tested. Always euphoric, and always a cheek exercise.
That approach has taken him across Londonās club circuit, fashion spaces, festivals and cultural moments, as well as further into the wider UK and European playing fields. Wherever the room is, he reads it properly and pushes it just enough to feel familiar whilst also breaking peace.
Alongside DJing and being a comforting familiar for Foundation FM, Donnie runs To The Left, an Alternative R&B, Hip Hop, Electronic platform built in 2022. What started as a party has grown into a club night, brand and radio show. Inclusive, loose, and designed for people who want something a bit left of centre (excuse the pun, waheeeey).
This Friday, Donnie joins Headtops at The Greyhound Peckham.
Where Headtops champions Black electronic music, honchoād via Darkstepper, Rae Dee, Shadobeni and zesttbh. And within this pursuit most famously youāll see them go back-to-back-to-back-to-back, moving through UKG, Grime, House, Miami Bass, Baile Funk, Jersey and more. Itās fast, itās messy in the best way, and itās built for the long run that doesnāt let up.
Tickets in the usual places you find them, weāve given you this much!
