My name Is Alonzo Grainger and I am From the south side of Syracuse New York. February 2020 i flew to San Jose from Florida on a one way ticket to test my luck at the Barbers inc downtown, however shortly after the world was shut down due to covid 19. As most of you know i got stuck here because of travel bans, and eventually set up shop in my living situations. Fast forward 2 years later on November 17th 2022 (after telling myself i never wanted the responsibility of owning a barbershop myself) i stumbled across the Old Spartan Barbershop…. I had a vision and a special feeling in my gut that told me to take on this challenge that i couldn’t ignore. This year was a test of a lifetime especially considering the Need for renovations as the condition of the space was not workable and having my first child a month after. I say this to say it’s been a year since i got the space and I’ve heard all kinds of things that’s been said about it good and bad.
