Just finished this wonderful little number, the anthology horror collection "Cursed Images" by @cricket_kass . Based around the internet age, this incredibly unique collection goes to some wild places. From Tamagotchi horror (one of the collections best) to demons speaking internet lingo, to was truly arresting piece around Webkinz (it'll get the feels going), this collection blew me away. Met this talented author at past years Chicago Pride Book Festival (@slaythelake ). Make sure to check this collection out at @spooky_frog_events on May 16th. #horrorbooks #creepypasta #horrorauthor

New book alert! Meet the author & get a signed copy of @hdjaster 's new book Wellington Street 3: The Three Suns at Kenosha Krampus Market this Saturday 12/6 from 12PM-4PM at @thefinalgirlbar ! For as long as she could remember, Niomi has wanted to work in a museum. But not just any museum. The Wellington Street Historical Society, which collects and houses evidence of those hidden horrors occurring along a singularly strange stretch of road. But in the sum total of the collective tales, reports, and interviews, something truly awful is becoming apparent. Something that speaks about the end of a cycle, an encroaching darkness, and the monsters that come with it. In this third collection of terrible tales, the truth about Wellington Street's core will be revealed. And within it, the dark secrets concerning Niomi herself. And so as the sun shifts and the world changes in irrevocable ways, will it be those who Niomi cares for most that will pay the price, or will something inside of her be the engine of their destruction? And what, if anything, can be done, to stop the death of reality itself What: Kenosha Krampus Market When: Dec. 6, 2025 12PM-4PM Ages 21+ Where: The Final Girl Bar 7546 Sheridan Rd, Kenosha, WI 53143 Meet 10 horror authors + spooky crafters and vendors & get your photo with Drag Krampus @emo.knievel ! I picked this one up almost immediately after finishing reading "Mewing" by @heyitschloespencer . A young adult novel, "Haunted Melody" is a wonderful exploration of PTSD, the shifting forms families can take, the price of secrets on those we love, and the strange ways that the dead may impact the living. And ghost romance lol A well expressed world with fantastical beings as a way of life, it was an absolute pleasure to read.

I had the pleasure of sharing a table at @spooky_frog_events with Chloe Spencer, an absolute delight of a person. And during this I picked up this little number. A tale about desire and obsession, it is the story of one woman's search for fame and community as a model. Yet the prices she pays and way it shapes her horrifies even as you root for her. "Mewing" flows with a wonderous style, at times disgusting you and at others drawing you in. And when the horror hits, and it does hit, it will bring a smile to the face of any lover of body horror and the grotesque. It is beautiful and bleak, and I couldn't put it down. Check out @heyitschloespencer and support her at chloespenceronline.com Thank you again to @spooky_frog_events for the wonderful event, and thank you to Chloe for being such a wonderful table buddy!
