Hazel and we are beyond excited to welcome baby Andes Zhu to our family! The name 'Andes' is inspired by our travel to South America along the Andes Mountains 🏔️, and we hope he's a curious world explorer growing up as well!
So far Andes loves to eat as much as Hazel does, and the two get along just fine 😆 hopefully the two will go on an adventure together soon!

Taking a career sabbatical was a crazy idea (so was a cross-continent road trip with our doggie), but our best one yet! In the last 6 months, we've seen some of the most incredible landscapes in the world, observed animals you can't find anywhere else, eaten local cuisines featured on Netflix and met some really awesome people. Definitely an adventure of a lifetime!

We wrapped up 2025 with Andes' first international trip to CDMX! Though traveling with a baby is a completely different ball game, our time in Mexico was filled with rich history, colorful wall arts, bustling streets and delicious food. Looking forward to another year full of adventures!

Going "home" with Andes meant a lot to us - first time flying with a baby was nerve wracking; seeing our lovely Seattle home after 8 months and making it more comfortable for future Airbnb guests; reuniting with friends and seeing all our growth. Some things changed but most felt heartwarming and familiar. Time is too short for us to meet everyone we wanted, but I'm sure the next time won't be that far in the future!
