HAVEN SURF FILM FEST - THANKS The fifth edition of the Haven Surf Film Fest is finished. It’s been a tough one after losing our presenting partner, but thanks to YOU, the people who bought tickets, and some of our partners who stepped in last minute to support us, we were able to make it a success again. Thanks to @patagoniaeurope , @lapaz_diary , @volkswagen_belgium , @homecore_paris and @newamsterdamsurfassociation . We really appreciate it. HAVEN SURF FILM FEST 2026 - GIVEAWAY by Fiber Shape, Wabi Sabi, Onda & Haven Surf In 2026, Haven Surf marks its 10-year anniversary. Under HS10, a series of events and monthly collaborations with brands from our selection will unfold throughout the year. The starting point is the 5th edition of the Haven Surf Film Fest, where we introduce the first project: 10 SURFBOARDS FOR 10 YEARS OF HAVEN SURF We invited 9 shapers to create a board that works both on their home break and in the North Sea. The result will be presented during the Film Fest, during a Q&A with Axel Lorentz, our central guest. The 10th board will be shaped live during the event by Steve Grossen (Wabi Sabi) and Fré Valgaeren (Fiber Shape). At the end of the day, during the @surfersearpodcast , this board will be given away to one visitor who purchased* a ticket. We have 50 pre sale tickets left, so here’s your chance! HS10 - COLLABORATION 002 HAVEN SURF x NOWADAYS MAGAZINE Following the presentation of our 10 custom-made surfboards, we introduce the second collaboration celebrating our 10-year anniversary. This time, we partnered with Nowadays Magazine, a platform that moves between clothing, a record label, and a magazine rooted in electronic music culture. The connection feels natural. Haven founder @filipvanmoerkercke spent years as a resident DJ at the iconic Café d’Anvers and co-founded Café Capital. Together, we created a T-shirt and a slipmat, both exclusively available at Haven Surf and at the Nowadays pop-up store, Schrijnwerkersstraat 7, Antwerp. We celebrate this release with an apéro on Saturday 9 May at Haven Surf, from 18:00 to 20:00. Tunes by Haven Surf Soundsystem. DRINKS ON THE HOUSE!

HAVEN SURF FILM FEST 2026 - SPECIAL GUESTS PART 2 SEPPE SMITS & GERT GOELEN Alongside French top shaper Axel Lorentz, we also welcome two leading names from our own soil: snowboarders and surfers Gert Goelen and Seppe Smits. After the screening of Antarctica – Domain One, they will talk about their recent expedition to the South Pole. Sailing in search of snow and waves, while also contributing to scientific research. They will take a seat on the Surfer’s Ear podcast sofa and share their story through footage from this unique project, which will soon be released as a documentary. @satisfyrunning SS26 has landed in store. This image by (the incredible) photographer and art director @pierredavid immediately caught our attention. It captures @stiandhl in Satisfy’s latest campaign, but to us it almost reads like a surfer carving a top turn, spray in the air. (Well, maybe that’s just us, seeing surf everywhere😅)

HAVEN SURF FILM FEST 2026 – SOUTHERN EDGE - Benelux Premiere a sailing & surf exploration of Tasmania A film by Torren Martyn & Ishka Folkwell Produced by Needessentials Southern Edge, follows surfer and adventurer Torren Martyn and his best friend Ishka Folkwell as they attempt to circumnavigate Tasmania in two 18ft sailing canoes. What starts as a novel idea to accomplish a sailing feat soon evolves into a rare opportunity to connect on a deeper level with the entire coastline of Tasmania over a few months of slow travel. The film portrays the uniquely diverse landscapes, wild life and elements of this rugged island while connecting with people that share their love for this rich land in the middle of the Great Southern Ocean. The film is a surf film featuring Torren Martyn surfing Tasmania’s best waves but is also an opportunity to see this island through a different lens, the spaces and perspectives that can only be witness by traveling where only few craft can venture along Tasmania’s remote coastline. HAVEN SURF FILM FEST 2026 UNDERCURRENTS - Benelux Premiere A story of sisterhood, resilience and mentorship Directed, Filmed & Edited by Maddie Meddings Featuring Imari Hearn & Laura Crane Very excited to announce this new film by @maddiemeddings Undercurrents follows 16-year-old Brit @imarihearn as she joins forces with the incredible big wave surfer @lauraloucrane to take on Nazaré, one of the most intense and unpredictable waves in the world. More than a surf film, it’s an intimate look at mentorship, resilience and the bond between two women navigating both a formidable lineup and a male-dominated industry. Imari only started surfing three years ago in Bali, where she grew up, and has quickly risen through the ranks, becoming the first British woman to win a Pro Junior event and earning a spot at the Padang Cup. Laura Crane, originally from North Devon, has established herself as one of the leading big wave surfers of her generation. When Imari shared her ambition to surf Nazaré, it sparked something in Laura to support and guide her in ways she never experienced herself. Their journey moves from training in the Mentawai Islands to the raw conditions of the Portuguese coast, combining preparation, progression and a shared drive to push limits together. We finally stock Wavelength Magazine, one of Europe’s longest-running surf magazines, thanks to meeting the talented @bellarosebunce in Cornwall a couple of weeks ago. Wavelength started back in 1981 and is now run as a non-profit organisation with the aim of supporting and promoting European surfers, photographers, filmmakers and the wider culture around them.
