Bigger studio, bigger art and still playing with wood 🖤
The first photo is from my wooden skull series taken back at the university sculpture studio at the University of Pretoria in 2016. It was during my honours year of my art degree and the future was a big unknown.
The second photo is from my Cape Town art studio showcasing the first Afrikaburn artwork we made in the space.
It’s awesome how the more some things change the more the essentials stay the same.

A new year marked with new artists, new projects, new experiments and so much more.
Tripling in size so quickly there are definitely some growing pains as the studio adapts and transforms. So grateful to the amazing community of artists who make the studio what it is.
