My mother, Cleonie “Carol” Myers, was a native of Kingston, Jamaica. A spiritual woman, she worked as a dressmaker on the island and had a passion for cooking. Every Sunday, I would sneak an oxtail from the pot, only to be caught unaware as a Likkle yute that she counted every piece of meat! My mother also had unwavering commitment to cleanliness, often waking my brothers and me early to clean, believing that “cleanliness is next to godliness.” Her love for fashion was evident in the outfits she wore, adorned with gold that shine like nothing else. These moments are timeless wrinkles in my memory that I will never forget.

When it comes to boutique brands running limited pieces, the process can sometimes take longer than expected. It’s been 4 years since HXL has released or produced anything, and with every phase we’re learning and improving.
For this drop specifically, the support on the preorder release honestly exceeded expectations for an independent brand that’s still growing.
FURIOUS DENIM jackets are now in the final stages of production and will ship out as soon as they’re fully ready.
As always, thank you for supporting independent design and being part of this release.
85% sold out of the first run. Only 8 more pieces attached to this production. I want to thank everyone who believed in HXL. It means the world as I continue to grow in so many ways. Thank you for supporting independent design.
