Good intentions galore: started out a social drinker, part time smoker, only kept fun, spontaneous enabling company.
Addictive personality much?
I'm the obsessed type, the all or nothing type, the down a bottle of vodka dashed with cider drink all night and start again in the morning type.
If you ever hear ppl call me Cage (aka Nicolas Cage from Leaving Las Vegas), that's why.
I progressed to a full time smoker, part time drug addict and a keep alcohol on me at all times drinker.
Battling depression, suicidal thoughts, ill health, court battles.
It took my pastor calling me to order saying "you're out of control", for me to wake up.
Enough.
Jesus and gym straight up saved my life.
I've been told I'm addicted to gym... duh, I'm in there 6 days a week hence the hashtag #exerciseEveryday - but I'm clean yo - rather that.
Yea I fell off, a bunch of times, picked myself up.
Got back on, had mediocre results due to poor form, poor exercise programming or poor diet, got depressed, fell off again.
No greatness here, if anything my path has just brought me to my knees sooner than most, later than some.
I'm not proud of all this, but I'm a slave to shame and sin no more.
The Lord is the only reason I'm standing, walking everyday.
I don't have it all on lockdown but I have the tools to make sure I'm a better and better man, husband and father everyday.
I thank God for the privilege to wage the war on darkness in prayer and in the gym.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
When you see someone trying, struggling, dying to be better do better everyday, don't laugh, don't knock em. Your encouragement could be the difference between a hard L or a much needed W.

It is about the DISCIPLINE, MINDSET and HABITS that will make you the man you need to become to THRIVE ‼️

He probably eats salad and veg with protein shake dressing - nope, kota, dombolo, pap, amagwinya, meat (obviously) fast food... I eat whatever i want, cos i understand how it fits my macros and temptation tolerance

He's naturally gifted then - nope, runt of the litter and i had to work to get this, even moreso to maintain it
.
Stop making excuses... Step your physical game up and watch how all other areas of your life level up
