Found a nice pulled up tree root in Epping Forest a while back, decided to do a few bits with it, using it natural twists and live edges.
So I set a few pieces of the root in two cups of coloured resin and made a few feature wine stoppers, mainly as gifts but they were pretty fun to do.

Knocked up some small salt, dip and garnish bowls for group meals. Laminated up a few pieces of wood, oak and something from the offcuts bin at work, but put an angle on them to give it a slanted finish.

A take on an anglepoise/corner room lamp.
The height of the bulb can be set using the pin and holes at the arm and base with the light being controlled by a dimmer switch.
I didn't have a full length of red mahgonany as I bought a bundle of off cuts, so I joined three pieces together using cherry and copper rods to make the overall height just under 6foot, then followed the cherry on the back to cover the wires.

A small soap, bar shampoo and conditioner tray made of a Larch off cut.
I set the piece at a angle then machined out the three sections that hold the bar.
Mainly because the bars make a right mess!
