3 Slingers in South East Asia. My dad’s been looking for salt and vinegar crisps, since we got here. No luck. Probs one of my all time favourite tunes this, lyrics are mint.

Tribe Selections | @harrisonslinger I’ve not done one of these in ages, so this week I wanna share a few new tunes I’ve found recently and a couple (of what I think) are staples for the dancefloor. Fungus Hunter - Adam Pits Sounds like it was recorded by aliens in a rainforest. Get your hat on for this en and don’t talk to me while it’s playing either, I’m dancing pal. Really really good sounding song this, crisp. New noises constantly presenting themselves to you. Working On Myself ft 2 Step Bec - Alec Falconer & Harry Wils Quite a simple tune really, but it’s that simplicity that often makes a tune so good. There’s somet about that bassline I proper like, it’s a bit late 80s. Plus the spoken word over the top, hellish. Good 9PM gear changer this. Terra - The Palmer Initiative Drums/beats are a deal maker for me and this is a prime example. Pair that with a heavy low end that vibrates the floor, and some acidity sprinkled over the top. You’ve got yourself a tasty tune. I should write recipes. Congo (Tunnel Mix) - The Boss The first of my essentials. I remember hearing this for first time, I would’ve only been 17-18, in my early years of discovering dance music. This really pricks your ears, pianos do a lot for me. Proper boss tune like. Let Me (Rave Mix) - Asquith Like a palm to the cheek. Them drums give thee a reyt slap straight away, so punchy they’re mint. Peak timer. Fools Gold - The Stone Roses Need I say much? Pioneers.

Tribe Selections – Tribe Fest Favourites, Part 1. After a summer fuelled by all things music and fully immersing ourselves in the festival season, we’ve been a bit quiet on The Tribe Selections Series. So, post-Tribe Fest, we’ve taken some time to reflect—and decided to pick a standout track from each of our sets. Kicking off this two-parter with: Track: Feel The Friction
Producer: Sam Alfred @samalfredd
Label: Disorder Records @disorder.group
Played by: Harrison @harrisonslinger “A Harrison classic. This tune sums up most of my sets really well—loads of energy.
As soon as it kicks in, you know what you’re in for: fast tempo and some hard-hitting piano chords.
Banger.” Track: Spark Up
Producer: Efan @efan.uk
Label: Independent release
Played by: MGMA @mgma__ “Could’ve picked a few from Tribe Fest, really—but I’ve gone with this one for its wobbly bass and hard-hitting 4x4 beat.
Not to mention the Big L sample, which just makes it—especially when the tempo drops and it feels like you could be listening to a hip hop track.
Not my usual breaks, I know, but it’s a bassy, high-energy number that sounds right at home in my sets.” Track: Nu Flow
Producer: RTK @rtk_tarantino
Label: Aromatik @aromatik.music
Played by: Morgan @morgan_stansfield “Maybe not my favourite tune of the set, but definitely the one I was most looking forward to playing.
The second drop properly slaps you in the face. Too much of this in a set can get old, but throwing a couple in the middle is always fun.
Seeing everyone’s face screw up is a sight to behold.
RTK makes some lovely whompy tackle as well—your favourite DJs are all playing his tunes.” Part 2 coming tomorrow…
