Tribe Selections â Tribe Fest Favourites, Part 1.
After a summer fuelled by all things music and fully immersing ourselves in the festival season, weâve been a bit quiet on The Tribe Selections Series. So, post-Tribe Fest, weâve taken some time to reflectâand decided to pick a standout track from each of our sets.
Kicking off this two-parter with:
Track: Feel The Frictionâ¨Producer: Sam Alfred
@samalfredd â¨Label: Disorder Records
@disorder.group â¨Played by: Harrison
@harrisonslinger
âA Harrison classic. This tune sums up most of my sets really wellâloads of energy.â¨As soon as it kicks in, you know what youâre in for: fast tempo and some hard-hitting piano chords.â¨Banger.â
Track: Spark Upâ¨Producer: Efan
@efan.uk â¨Label: Independent releaseâ¨Played by: MGMA
@mgma__
âCouldâve picked a few from Tribe Fest, reallyâbut Iâve gone with this one for its wobbly bass and hard-hitting 4x4 beat.â¨Not to mention the Big L sample, which just makes itâespecially when the tempo drops and it feels like you could be listening to a hip hop track.â¨Not my usual breaks, I know, but itâs a bassy, high-energy number that sounds right at home in my sets.â
Track: Nu Flowâ¨Producer: RTK
@rtk_tarantino â¨Label: Aromatik
@aromatik.music â¨Played by: Morgan
@morgan_stansfield
âMaybe not my favourite tune of the set, but definitely the one I was most looking forward to playing.â¨The second drop properly slaps you in the face. Too much of this in a set can get old, but throwing a couple in the middle is always fun.â¨Seeing everyoneâs face screw up is a sight to behold.â¨RTK makes some lovely whompy tackle as wellâyour favourite DJs are all playing his tunes.â
Part 2 coming tomorrowâŚ
