It’s been a true roller coaster of a month. That Blue Jays run was as entertaining as it gets. During game 7 i was in the verge of a heart attack (while Enzo was colouring happily). Also had a race that morning to make things more stressful, as well as Halloween festivities, filming a baseball movie where I thought I might catch pro pitching (and probably die) as well as lots of friends and family visiting. In the end it wasn’t the dream ending, but I’m still happy and proud to be a fan and to be able to have shared it with so many good friends over this year and over the past 30 years of fandom. Luckily Enzo doesn’t hold a grudge (as seen by his pic with Shohei), and we were able to run off some steam later that night. Congrats to the Dod… ok, I’m still not ready to say that. Gimme a little more time…

If Taiwan is number 1, Malaysia is number 1a. People, food, sights… all top notch.

10 years ago I was hiking the Appalachian Trail, with Genevieve and Skye. Hell of an experience. 3,500 km in total through 13 states, 4 months, 25 lbs lost, one terrible beard. There's a saying: The trail will ruin your life, in the best way possible. I think it did, for sure.

More pics from the Aboriginal areas in Pingtung. Hunting, art, baseball and Christianity are all very popular and important. I feel super lucky to be able to experience the Paiwan culture 🙏 and I’m looking forward to my next trip.

Had an excellent (6 month!) visit with Mom/Grandma. She spends about half the year in Taiwan these days- staying at a hostel as she does all year round. She just flew back to Canada on Thursday. I heard United breaks guitars, lets hope they dont break accordions.

I had a lot of fun this week volunteer English teaching in Fangliao Township, Pingtung Country (in the south of Taiwan), while also doing lots of biking around the area. Most kids at the school are Aboriginal Taiwanese and have very limited English skills, although they do also speak an Aboriginal “mother tongue”, along with the national language of Mandarin Chinese. Thanks to Skye, who has volunteered there before, for setting me up with the school.

Getting some practice in with the Taiwan national hockey team before they head off to the Div. 3 World Championships. Barely keeping up… ok not really keeping up all.

Enzo warming up for the final of the Asian Baseball Championships, Taiwan vs. Japan, at the new and much anticipated Taipei Dome. 1-0 Japan in the end. The Japanese broke my heart twice today 😥 This was our 4th international tournament of the year. Lucky for me I think Enzo likes baseball more than I do. #taipeidome
