Today we honor and remember Robbi Babcock on what would have been his 49th birthday.
Robbi, along with his beloved cat Cujo, joined the Harmels on the Taylor Team for the 2025 season as a talented and hardworking chef at Bites & Brews. From the moment he arrived, he brought not only skill to the kitchen, but a warmth and humor that made a lasting impact on everyone around him.
He had a way of turning ordinary team meetings into moments filled with laughter, and he was often the one bringing people together—sending messages about building a fire or inviting others to join in whatever adventure he had going. Those simple invitations created meaningful connections and memories that will stay with us.
Robbi once shared that he came to Harmels as an introvert, but found such comfort and belonging with our team that he truly felt he had found himself and his place in Almont. That sense of belonging meant so much to him, and it meant just as much to all of us to have him here.
He loved gaming and expressing his creativity through his YouTube channel, Iron-Van, where he shared videos and photographs from his explorations of nature and landmarks. Some of his happiest moments this past summer were spent with his daughter and his parents during their visits—memories we know he treasured deeply.
It is with heavy hearts that we remember Robbi, who passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago from Acute Bronchial Pneumonia. There are truly not enough words to express how much he is already missed as we prepare for the 2026 season. His presence, his laughter, and his spirit will always be a part of our team.
We extend our deepest love and prayers to everyone who knew and loved Robbi, especially his family.
