Our BAREFOOT dance shoes – a project we’re really proud of!
After years of making custom shoes for dancers around the world, we saw one thing clearly – not all feet fit into traditional, shoes, no matter how soft or low the heel.
That’s when we started creating a new shape – wider, more flexible, with a zero-drop sole. A barefoot feel, but made for dancing.
Vernacular solo jazz "Fall off the Log"
We will be going through all the vernacular solo jazz and posting (on Mondays) short tutorial snippets teaching and testing your knowledge and mine!
Vernacular solo jazz carries different rhythms and different ways of moving your body to the music! I think it's foundational to your vocabulary as a dancer.
Lindy Hop and Vernacular Jazz is Black American History and lots of rhythms come from West Africa.
