Wholehearted Floristry.
This is a sentiment I have echoed before, and will continue to champion. People are at the root of what Hare and Bear Co. is all about.
The vision has always been the same: to bring people together over simple things and spark joy and connection. I believe all people deserve dignity, kindness, and compassion. Not just in words, but in the actions of this business that wouldn't exist without people.
I know there's a lot of suggestions for how to show up right now, and I just want to say that regardless of how you show up, what's important is that you do-however that looks for you. Your actions may not be loud, but what we can't be is silent.
I read this from a post by @jackelopefloralco yesterday, and it remains with me: "The long haul asks something quieter but harder than outrage. It asks for sustained attention. For listening to people who have been naming harm long before it was widely believed. For letting other people's fear and grief matter even when it does not mirror our own. Care is not a trend. It is a practice for life.
"The long haul is choosing to care before it is personal and to keep caring after it is no longer visible. Because dignity should not depend on whose pain finally gets our attention."
When I think ahead to 2026, one word comes to mind: intentional. In the world of floral design, itâs so easy to get caught up in trends and forgo true artistry in the pursuit of success.
But when we do that, intentionality gets lost in all the noise. We follow the crowd instead of trusting ourselves and the creative process.
The December 'Floral Note' is up, and in it I'm talking about what I feel will be the "floral landscape" of 2026. If you're a couple looking for designs that honor your wild, free souls and make you feel something when you look at them, I still have some availability to flower your 2026 wedding.

My 17th Mother's Day. I can't say I feel like a great mom everyday or even most days. What I can say is that I know each day with these two is another chance to show them how much I love them. Besides raising good humans, my main goal is for the boys to know I love them unconditionally.
Over the years, I have learned that motherhood is a journey and one I am grateful to not take alone. I have an amazing partner in David, two sets of the best grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, and cousins who show up and give us love and support.
Happy Mother's Day! â¤ď¸
A few snippets from today: An actual picture with both boys, strawberry layer cake my mom made, and flowers (of course) my dad asked me to put together for my mom.
The Studio Artists Show at Bowood Farms happened yesterday, and it was wonderful!
Throughout the day, each of the participating teaching artists demonstrated an upcoming workshop to give attendees a glimpse at all the creativity that happens each month in The Studio. I spent some time showcasing one of my hand-tied bouquet techniques and talking about flower selection, hand position, my favorite finishing techniques, and more.
I also offered a bloom bar to showcase all the gorgeous local flowers available right now. Top 3 favorites:
1. Allium, "Nectaroscordum"
2. Bearded iris
3. Agrostemma, "Dawn Creek Blush"
Thanks to everyone who came out, @neon.robin for organizing this spring showcase, and @bowoodfarms for having such a beautiful studio space.

From the Pinterest Board to Real Life: How Floral Designers Plan and Execute Floral Designâ
â
When I ask a potential client to tell me what they envision for their wedding or special event, I almost always get a link to a Pinterest board or other visuals. I love viewing these inspirational images because these boards tell me a lot about your preferencesâromantic and wild, structured and refined. â
â
But itâs important my clients know that these boards are merely inspirational, not necessarily aspirational. â
â
In this monthâs blog post, Iâm going beyond the Pinterest board. I dive into how I take your inspiration and turn that into a floral design that tells your story and not someone else's. â

Each option makes a thoughtful gift for the mother figure in your life. Whether that's your birth mom, your chosen mom, your grandmother, (you get the idea), they deserve something special. I happen to think that's flowers from yours truly ;).

Link for Mother's Day is in our profile.
- First 3 slides are a stylistic example for this year. The last 2 slides are flowers from last year's Mother's Day orders.
Spring flowers are truly remarkable! From the early blooming daffodils and hellebores that withstand cold and blustery days to the more delicate blooms of bearded iris and lilacs that appreciate more sunshine and warmth, there are an abundance of favorites for me in this season.
Above are just a sampling of my favorite spring flowers. I'm so grateful to my garden and all the local flower farmers who provide such beauty to create with.
Do you have a favorite spring flower?
Flowers shown: daffodils, Iceland poppy, tulip 'wyndham', allium "purple sensation', bearded iris 'celebration song',
Fritillaria 'meleagris', butterfly ranunculus 'Dione'
My closed handle bouquet from the Passionflower Sue Masterclass I participated in last week.
I was really feeling the yellows. And those touches of chocolate from the lisianthus and pale pink from the carnations? Perfection.

"Once there was a thing called spring..."
Something special happens when designing alongside the seasons. Each piece feels more organic and aligned.
This arrangement will forever be a favorite of mine.
Wearable art.
That's what's on my mind when I create a piece like this. I'm thinking of form, color, and texture to make sure the piece tells a cohesive story and suits the wearer.
Grateful for the opportunity to learn, innovate, and create over the past few days at @mollyoliverflowers with @passionflowersue . I have so much more to share!
Now, who wants to wear some flower art!
A palette I couldn't resist: đ+đ+đâ
â
Sometimes, your heart wants what it wants, and mine wanted these colors together. It started with the yummy yellow butterfly ranunculus from @urbanbuds and the deep mauve hellebores in my garden. From there, I added in snaps (also from Urban Buds) and daffodils I cut. â
â
This is the art that comes from beautiful spring flowers. All the wonderful colors, textures, and shapes dancing together. â
