Sharing! A Festive Hardy is unpacked in the @houseandgardenuk January 2026 issue and it also launches online today. A total thrill because it’s about our beloved family Christmas but it’s also all about building this Connecticut house from abroad and what that was like because naturally we had to move a barn down from Vermont to be part of it all alongside other crazy things that Deirdre O’Farrelly kindly guided us through with her talent and taste. We shot this story last year but our tradition of gathering on Christmas Eve began in London when @williamaugustus and @nedddddddy were babies and the @simonplayle family would come over for lunch on Lamont Road and we’d also have cake + champagne. We brought that tradition with us to America in 2001 morphing over the years into more canapé than lunch but it is still all about the warm gather now with @ojorgenhardy and @imdrewanderson alongside us and our best friends too. That remains ever steady. Someone I admired once said - ‘do you kids know how lucky you are?’ I think @jbhardy7 and I do and are forever grateful and hope you enjoy seeing a peek of our season. Hardy Girl ™️ It’s an exclusive club; I married @jbhardy7 to get in! But Winslow Florence Hardy arrived on 10 Nov to @williamaugustus + @ojorgenhardy to claim her rightful membership and all of our hearts alongside 🤍 . We are bursting with happiness for them. For us all. . Hardy Girl @llbean by @nedddddddy @imdrewanderson . Which IYKYK - a 2 line Bean embroidery involves an in-person visit to the mother ship. Blanket @thenurserywindow c 1992 ish. A delight to see it back in action, stateside. Can’t even describe the feeling of passing it down.

Gloriously high up, this NYC flat designed by @reddkaihoi in this month’s @houseandgardenuk , shot by @nicole_franzen and written and produced by me. A stage set in the sky, but homey 🌿 too. When you read it you’ll get it. Think of it this way - a full, elegant country house was dropped into the 84th floor of a skyscraper by the brilliance that is @milesredd @davidkaihoi @loyzagadesign . . For the April issue @houseandgardenuk magazine, I did a story about my all-time, hands down favorite (favourite 🇬🇧!) shopkeeper @theflat.westport + her husband @mfgoss + their new barn, shot with nuance @dean.hearne on a beautiful summer’s day last June. The barn (+ the old house too) are characters in the story of the land as Becky relies on one of the deeper senses of intuition I have ever come across. She and Mike gathered a style for this project that just delights so I hope you get House & Garden or visit the site - I feel lucky to collaborate. . Some special notes: this project is in my beloved Connecticut hometown, with beautiful architecture @halperarchitects + landscape @kathrynhermandesign . What an honor - to see my story on @cearadonnelleyltdco ’s beautiful, nuanced, intriguing NYC flat photographed with @dean.hearne this summer on the cover of this month’s @houseandgardenuk 🇬🇧. All for @hattabyng ’s 10 year anniversary issue. The thrill! Celebrations all around. These women (all) are remarkable. Dean too!
