The object was inspired by the suede material and how the surface grain changes, resembling aged stains. He hand-wove knots over a ceramic base to achieve an appearance of an old piece of pottery. He then modified the shape of an LP vinyl record and incorporated it into the structure.
This object was made for visual work purposes.
Jisoon Kim specializes in the recontextualization of discarded materials and the experimental application of diverse media, having created works worn by celebrities like Tate McRae and LE SSERAFIM.
