Seriously Good Comedy is coming to Chemainus. Join us on Thursday, June 4th at 8:00 PM at Serious Brewing for a night of sharp stand-up comedy. This stand-up comedy showcase brings a curated lineup of professional comedians delivering smart, well-crafted jokes in a relaxed brewery setting. Good beer, good seats, and seriously good laughs—an easy way to spend your Thursday night. We have not one but two headliners, Sammy Ray Benty and Tommy Mellor. Sammy Ray Benty is a comedian who tours all over western Canada, building a reputation as one of most unique creative voices in the country. Armed with his trusty omnichord, Sam sings silly songs, does impressions and tells jokes that are just excuses to sing more songs. He has appeared on Kill Tony, Canadas Got Talent, JFLNorthwest, and has a live musical comedy album called “Omnichord Troubadour” available on streaming platforms everywhere. Tommy Mellor is a comedian who doesn’t have to dance around to generate huge laughs. Known for his deadpan delivery and unique perspectives and stories, he has wow’d audiences all over Canada. He won the title of Best Comedian in Calgary at the 2022 Laugh Shop comedy competition. He was a semi finalist in the Seattle international comedy competition and In 2024 he released his full length comedy special “The Prince Of All Comics” to much fanfare.
