Home is where we eventually return
a place of comfort, warmth, and quiet belonging.
It is where we hope to grow old with the person we love, sharing the same space, the same life, until time slowly passes.
In this work, I portray a familiar image from everyday life in Indonesia: a man wearing a sleeveless shirt and sarong, living simply, embracing a slow and peaceful rhythm of life. The presence of chickens around the house reflects a common scene found in many Indonesian neighborhoods.
Through this painting, I reflect on the idea that home is not only a place, but also a person
a space where we can rest, grow, and be completely ourselves.

Sometimes, friendships are born from simple things going out, having fun, and sharing the same hobbies.
I first got to know Mas Yoga through @lucky_sktchn and through the photos on his Instagram. He clearly loves the cars he’s into, and that’s where I felt inspired to create a piece drawing my character driving Mas Yoga’s cute VW.
Through this artwork, we got to know each other and became friends, haha.

A small plant from my mother

Until now, I’m still confused. Back in elementary school, I was once given a homework assignment that required me to bring a small tree from home to display at school.
The task was quite troublesome we had to search for a cute little tree late at night with my mother so it could be brought to school the next morning.
Yes, that was love hard to explain.
