5月UKに行きます。Bangface2023出演が決まりました。 ずっと身に着けてたアーティストパスを外して更新できる日が来ました。 2017年にBIOHANNYAらと共にJAPAN INVASIONクルーとして出演して以来、想い続けた舞台に帰ることができます。 今度はSuck Puck Records/FUK THE BORDERSクルーのLaxenanchaosとして出演します。 ※Laxenanchaosについては話すと長くなるのでまた別の機会に…一言いうと覆面名義、心境の変化からこちらでは少しずつ公言してます。 また長文になりますが、心境を少し。良かったらお付き合いください。 ー 彼らとの付き合いは2018年、主催Fat Frumosからのリリースのオファーでした。 当初、盛り上がりを見せていたフットワークジャングルのアプローチを気に入られ、アルバムをリリースすることに。 2019年、Numb'n'dubの声の下、再びJAPAN INVASIONとして出演した UKのBoomtown Fair 2019でFat Frumosとも共演、境界を乗り越えて時を共にしました。 2020年にSuck Puck Recordsからアルバムをリリースして以降、 先日リリースしたEPの他、楽曲提供やLIVE配信に参加させてもらったりと、 精力的に活動する彼は、常に連絡を取り続けてくれました。 今は戦禍の影響で一時的にベルリンに拠点を移していますが、ウクライナに居た当初から 変わることなく、彼は突き進んでいました。 今回のBangface出演を持ち掛けてくれた時、彼は「ついに夢がかなう」と言いました。 海を越えた先の友人の夢のクルーに自分はなれたんだ、と。 出演しても金持ちになるわけじゃない。 以前、海外遠征にたいして 「コネがあれば誰でも行ける・それなりにできれば誰でも盛り上げれる」 「もう日本捨てたのかと思った」 なんてことを言われもした。 必ずしも讃辞につながるわけでもない。 喜び方も見せ方を気にしないといけないような、そんな息苦しさもあった。 だから、一人で行きたかった。 文句言う人はいつまでもいるものだってわかってるし、やられはしないけど 掲げたことを達成して、なにより自分に打ち勝ちたかったから。 活動を続けた結果、そうなった。 多くの友人たちの協力で積み上がった関係も、 続けた音楽活動があったから、そう胸に刻み込む出来事だと感じてます。 SuckPuck主催Fat Frumos、その男の花道であり、自分の憧れの地でもあるバングフェイス。 Aphex Twin、Venetiansnares、Squarepusher… 自分の憧れ続けるスターたちが名を連ね、自分の音楽が一番輝ける場所、 自分がやり続けてる表現そのままを望んでくれる場所。 ただ嬉しいだけじゃない。人生を感じてる。やり続けたことへの結果だから。 これが大げさだったら、いつ叫べばいいのか分からない。 せっかくUKに行くのだから、早速現地の友人たちに連絡してツアーも計画しています。 5月までの数か月なんてあっという間、しっかり備えて挑みます。 勿論、現地の様子をお伝えできたらと思ってるので、良かったらまたチェックして下さい。 ゴールじゃなくてスタート地点、まだまだ人生盛り上げていきたいです。 P.S. こんばんは、真夜中なので怖い筆の進み方に注意せねばと思いつつの投稿ですが、お知らせがありまして。 写真は、近日中にアー写が必要だった為、ちょうど(?)古いものばかりだったので新しく撮ったものの…「こっちの顔見えへんのがええ」と顔が見えた為に即ボツだったので(アー写やのにw)インスタのアイコ…アー写として使おうかなと。 2枚目は、もう5年も前から肌身離さず身に付けてるのでご存じの方も多いと思いますが、ドイツのFreqs of Nature Festival 2018のもので、初めて自力で掴んだ海外公演のArtist passです。 今回はそれにまつわるお話なんですが、、結構長いのでご無理なさらず…笑 勿論、お付き合い頂けたら幸いです。 . . . . . ーなんやかや夢を追い続けるっていうのは、否応なく迫ってくる社会の色んな価値観に当てられて、なぜだか不安でいっぱいになったり…例えクリエイションが優れていても金にならないとしたら、他に仕事をして納得させるのか?であったり、色んな角度から考える機会があります。 みんな、途中で趣味になったり優先順位が変わったり様々やけど、自分の可能性にも自信を失うこともあるし、多くの人が何かしら諦めたり、入れ替わっていく中、時の流れとともに遠のくように、、いつまでやってんの? プロ? アートもいいけど生活は?それでも自分なりにしかできなくて、でもあがきまくってきて、心の底からやり続けてよかったと思ってます。 今年、また1つ新たな夢が叶ったから。 俺は5年前、初めてドイツへ行った時、元々は当時の彼女に会いに行くのが目的でした。でも、会いに行く為だけに行くのはすごく嫌で、ヨーロッパの射程圏内のフェス、レイヴにメールを飛ばしまくり、連絡しまくりました。その結果、アンダーグラウンドの名だたるアーティストが集うドイツの超イケてるフェス出演をつかみ取り、その経験は今も自分の成功体験として軸を支えてくれてます。 その時のアーティストパスは、それを自ら越えれた時にのみ、外すつもりで、5年間、 ガールフレンドにハグした時にこすれたりして痛い邪魔!だとか、汚い!だとか言われても、肌身外さず付け続けてきました。 他にも海外公演で舞台に立つことはあったし、縁やコネも実力とできるかもしれないけど、仲間の力や色んな事に助けられた旅で、気持ちはやはり、パスを外すには至らず。アーティストとして自分の作品や表現を認められる形で達成したい、そう思い続けて、 外しませんでした。 そのパスを今年、外すことになりました。長かったけど、千切れはしなかったんです。自ら外せる。5年越しに、達成できそうです。 自分のことは、不器用で自堕落で、ろくでもないなって思いますが、音楽やその熱意だけは本物です。自信を持って言い切れる、それは自分にとってやはり音楽です。 作品や表現を強調しましたが、それらは、色んな人の支えや応援、共に駆ける仲間や友人たち、頑張っている精力的な活動のオーラ、向き合って踏み込んだ全員の勇気、様々な要素と共に、こうして今も音楽をやり、夢を抱けています。 マジで綺麗事とかじゃないんです。全部エネルギーになるだけで、そしたら、ライバルも、ヘイターも、苦しみも悲しみも、感謝の対象になり得るだけで。そうしないとやりきれないし、そうできるからやりたいし、なりますよね、勝手に。多分、何かを高めんと貫いてたら、誰でもそうなってることで。どこまでいったって、生きてる限りは好き(音楽とか、アナタにとってのソレ)をやりたい。 長々語らせてもらいました、近く、長年連れ添ったアーティストパスを外すその時が来たら、発表させて頂きます。これからも音楽を通じて交流していきましょう、ありがとう。 ※8つの動画はFreqs of Nature Festival 2018の初出し動画です。10分ほど回遊したモノもあったんですが…複数UPしたら1分までになりますね笑、まあでも見応えあるので是非。残念ながら自分が出演した年で最後になったのですが、サイケ、テクノを中心に、ベース、ブレイクス、IDM/ブレイクコア、アンビエントなどジャンル隔たりなく網羅しつつも間違いないエグいラインナップ(シャックルトン、キオドア、ルビーマイディアー、ファンカーマ、タカアキさん等)を揃えた玄人好みの内容で、本当に素晴らしく、参加できて光栄でした。 #freqsofnaturefestival #freqsofnature2018
