For my final course at UT, I was able to study Czech culture through documentary photography under the fantastic photographer, Dennis Darling. I am so grateful for my time in Prague. Thank you for an amazing month 🤍
I wanted to happily announce that my very first photojournalism book, A Girl’s World, is now complete!
Throughout the past three months I entered into the lives of seven women, Emily, Legacy, Catherine, Violeta, Christiana, Mariam and Alyssa to document their journey throughout womanhood. Within this 100 page book, we break down what being a woman has meant to them and means to them now. I greatly appreciate these women’s vulnerability and strength as they entrusted me to tell their stories.
It was definitely a challenge creating this book throughout the semester, but these powerful women definitely made it worthwhile. I had a wonderful time working alongside these women in addition to being mentored by Donna DeCesare, an inspiring photojournalist who I admire and respect greatly.
