Hey fam, we miss you 💛 Let’s catch up. Meet us at Wildhawk on Monday 12/4 at 3pm. This is a very casual meetup that gives us a chance to reconnect, and we want to talk with you about where HAPI goes from here. Let’s save space for each other and share our stories, cultures and chat about what we can accomplish as a community. This meetup is meant to be a safe space for the API community to share, though HAPI is an open community to welcome understanding and celebration of all API cultures. Please be respectful of our community voice.

Janice and Napier formed Hospitality of Asians & Pacific Islanders (HAPI) after working many years in hospitality and recognizing the need for API-focused spaces within the industry. They bring intention and collaboration to all aspects of the organization in order to create spaces and programming that amplifies the voices and stories in the API umbrella that often go unheard. Janice (she/her) is Bicolana and hails from Southern California. A gregarious and warm nature coupled with a background in entertainment and event planning, Janice’s style of service is an experience. She is always working on new projects, helping with pop-ups, and volunteering at industry events. When she’s not flitting from one event to another, you can find her on the dance floor or singing at karaoke bars. Naps (she/her) is Tagalog and born and raised in the Bay Area. In addition to being an industry veteran, she spent many years in nonprofits and community activism. Her serious and chill demeanor gives way to a passion for her community and a dry wit. When she’s not behind the bar, she’s hitting the trails with her family, attending concerts, or going to museums.
