đđťHere it is, folks. I have been telling people the lore of this footage for *years*â and have tried to get my hands on it for a long time so it could live on outside my memory. And now she finally sees the light of day: me at age 9 playing Irene in Crazy For You, wearing a red velvet dress, tying a rope around a man (little boy) and singing âNaughty Babyâ with all the original lyrics. The shimmy at the end is me at my peak. There is also footage of me in this show saying (again, at age 9) that if someone were my husband, Iâd *unalive* myself. I did have to cut some of this so it would fit on IGâDM me for the *extended cut* if youâre an Irene Truther. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Irene lives on in me, and now in my community, forever. Amen.

The second installment in this curious collection dated 1780-1781: In order to make themselves more desirable for marriage, women were expected to practice arts such as conversation and decorating; an accomplished young lady was also expected to develop her mind through extensive reading. It is probable that the two young women featured here may have been helping each other to prepare for a suitor.
