Don’t toss that leftover royal icing just yet❄️ Freezing royal icing has been one of my favorite ways to save money, reduce waste, and save prep time, especially with fully developed colors like black, red, or deep shades that normally take time (and lots of coloring) to make. Search 'freezing royal icing hanielas' on Google to learn all my tips Why I love freezing leftover icing: • Saves expensive ingredients & food coloring • Reduces waste • Developed colors are ready to use later, such a game changer! • Makes mixing new shades so much easier 🎨

May the 4th be with you ✨ Celebrating today with my epic 3D Star Wars gingerbread house, a project that’s still one of my favorites to this day. From the dark side to droids and beyond, this build has it all: Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, C-3PO, R2-D2, BB-8… even the Death Star watching over a galaxy-inspired roof 🌌 And yes… there’s a lightsaber (because there has to be 😉). If you want to see it, check out my tutorial on hanielas.com ⭐Search 'Star Wars House Hanielas' on Google for all the details Which character would you move in first?

If you’ve missed any of the tutorials, now’s the perfect time to catch up and get inspired. I've already shared decorated, adorable cactus cookies topped with a bright bunting banner using transfers, and the quintessential sombrero cookie on my YouTube Channel, Haniela's Search 'hanielas' on YouTube or use the link in my bio. 🌵🎸🥳And today at 3PM EST, a brand-new tutorial drops where I’ll show you how to decorate colorful mariachi-style guitar cookies 🎸✨

German buttercream is my childhood favorite. A silky, custard-based frosting made by whipping butter into a rich egg-and-starch custard. It’s light, smooth, and not too sweet. If you prefer a less sugary buttercream, give it a try. ❤️If you need a little extra convincing, here’s a glowing review from the blog: Bree: "I grew up eating cakes with German buttercream. It has a delicate yet rich flavor that American buttercream does not have. I’ve tried for years to find a recipe that came close. This was so simple to make and absolutely delicious!” 🤩Swipe left for a close-up. #hanielas #germanbuttercream #mousseline #buttercream

These pastel gingham flower cookie pops are such a fun way to celebrate the season-soft colors, simple patterns, and a little texture from sanding sugar and rainbow nonpareils. In this tutorial, I used a DIY stencil, royal icing, royal icing transfers, and sanding sugar to bring them to life. And if you don’t have an airbrush, no worries, you can easily use a color mist instead! Find a full tutorial on hanielas.com Search 'gingham cookie hanielas' on Google #decoratedcookies #gingham #sugarcookies #sugarcookiepops #royalicingcookies

Do you need a small or regular batch of marshmallow fondant? I've got both recipes on the blog. I’ve been using marshmallow fondant for years, and it’s still one of my favorites. It’s easy to make with just a few ingredients and works beautifully on cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. I also used it to decorate a Vans Shoe Cake. I wish these came in my shoe size. Get my recipe on hanielas.com Search "marshmallow fondant hanielas' on Google #fondant #marshmallowfondant #vanscake #homemadefondant #shoecake
