Members of various PNW ska bands have come together again for another show with Colectivo Caskada featuring local ska punk @handstuffpdx and Yakima's rock en español crew @fonozis_band !
We are doing another latin ska and rock night here in Portland, OR because the last show got a wonderful response. Huge thanks to the bands and people who came out to support that show in February! Our goal is to expose the PDX scene to sounds from Latin America they wouldn't normally hear at other shows.

Here's a rare serious post. Ska made a name for itself in part because it's a way to stand up for what you believe in, and we are proud to continue in this great tradition. All of us who play in Hand Stuff come from wildly different backgrounds. The one thing we all have in common is Portland Community College. We all met as participants in the jazz program. None of us would be where we are today without the tireless efforts of our instructors. We have benefited from them continually going above and beyond the call of duty in our service. In all disciplines, the instructors here at PCC have invariably invested more than anyone could ask for. They pour their time and effort to help the most disadvantaged and vulnerable members of our community. We are proud to support the union members on the picket line and provide a tiny fraction of the inspiration and effort that PCC Faculty have invested in us. We think they're worth investing in. We call upon the administration to invest in them, too.
March 23rd. 5pm. Cascade Campus. Join the union for a solidarity rally and march. You won't regret it.
