Shortest drum intro? REO speed wagon? Nope!! There are MANY one-hit “Intros” out there but RATM’s “Bulls On Parade” is a great one (technically it’s two hits since it’s a Flam)

Double stroke crossover drum exercise pattern number 1. 95 BPM (or whatever speed is comfortable). For this exercise the left hand is always reaching above the right on the crossover. You can (and should) also reverse this and play it left lead- where the right would cross over between the hihat and rack tom. 3 minutes total to do it both ways at this tempo.
