Owning a business is so rewarding—being my own boss, creating what I love, and seeing my hard work pay off 💛✨
…but let’s be real, it’s not always as easy as it looks 👀
✅ Constantly marketing myself
✅ Keeping up with DMs & emails
✅ Late nights planning content & launches
✅ Managing clients, invoices, and endless to‑do lists
✅ Trying to stay creative and consistent even on tough days
It’s a lot on one person’s plate, but the growth, the connections, and the freedom make every challenge worth it. 💪🏽🖤
☀️SUMMER=OUTDOOR EVENTS and Setting up balloon decor outdoors can be tricky! Here are 5 game-changing tips:
1️⃣ Use balloon weights or tie-downs
Don’t let your beautiful work blow away! Always secure your arches, columns, and freestanding pieces with heavy-duty weights, sandbags, or water weights. For garlands, tie them tightly to structures like fences, tents, or poles.
2️⃣ Double stuff your balloons
The sun can bleach colors and cause balloons to pop fast. Double stuffing (placing one balloon inside another) helps maintain vibrant colors and adds extra strength to stand up to heat and UV rays. It’s a little extra effort that makes a big difference!
3️⃣ Use fishing line, zip ties, or 260Qs to secure your work
Outdoor setups need more than tape and string. Use clear fishing line for invisible support, zip ties for strong anchors, or 260Q balloons to wrap and tie garlands tightly. This keeps everything in place, even on breezy days.
4️⃣ Set up during cooler hours
Heat is a balloon’s worst enemy. Try to set up early in the morning or later in the evening when the sun isn’t as strong. This reduces the chance of balloons popping and gives you more time to adjust your setup if needed.
5️⃣ Always bring a repair & touch-up kit
Things can happen outdoors! Pack extra balloons (pre-inflated if possible), balloon glue dots, a hand pump, scissors, and string. Having your essentials on hand lets you fix anything on the spot and keeps your display looking perfect all day.
Think only Reels bring in clients? Think again. Here are 5 reasons why Reels aren’t the only way to book out your calendar:
1. Word of Mouth – Happy clients = referrals. People trust people. 2. Consistency Builds Trust – Showing up in stories, posts, and comments keeps you top of mind. 3. DM Conversations – Real connections happen in the inbox, not just on the feed. 4. Your Profile = Your Storefront – A clear bio, highlights, and feed speak before a Reel even plays. 5. In-Person Presence – Local events, vendor collabs, and being seen offline still *work.*
Reels are great—but they’re just one piece of the puzzle. Don’t sleep on the full picture.
