it’s taken me a while, to reflect and coordinate but, somewhere between mornings muted in gray and late nights enveloped by neon lights, Japan’s spirit of awe and wonder were the thrill and stillness we didn’t know we needed in 2025 🇯🇵
Have a step inside my Soundscape. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to preserve and organize possessions of my youth in an era when sound and image were physical experiences, whether that be the soft hum of a cassette tape deck, a gentle crackle of vinyl or the whir of a VHS player. However, this haven is more than a memorialization of mementos, but also, a space where memory and discovery meet — a marriage between analog and digital. As a sanctuary to reconnect and reflect while embracing something new, the Soundscape is where inspiration fills every corner of the room and each frequency feels like home.
I haven’t done things in this life right or perfectly, fatherhood being one of them, but being your dad over the last 19 years has really changed me in ways words can’t describe let alone an IG post would justify. Almost 40 years later, I’m still learning lessons I should’ve learned a while ago, and yet, you still love as I keep trying to get this right. Not a lot of people have ever been to that secret place inside of me but you live there every day. As we celebrated your birthday this past weekend, I couldn’t be more enamored and inspired by your pursuit of happiness. And in your 19th year, stay young while I get old because I’d be so lucky if I can be around for another 19.

Never have I ever experienced more hospitality, love and kindness than I did last night. People welcoming this foreigner into their home, and helping me celebrate 37 years. So much gratitude for the people of San Luis Potosí, who have given me a home away home and a new family to celebrate my life with. Mucho respeto y amor, México 🇲🇽
