Last Saturday morning on my way to @thesilverroom for @raicesplantbodega / @_gabriellagiselle increíbleee bodega experience —I peeped so many people with balloons and flowers in their hands, hurrying off to meet their loved ones.
It’s everything to see Chicago moved to celebrate love on a day like Valentines Day. And then being able to create images of that love 🙈!! It has me smiling from ear to ear. Love that included self love, to mamas and their babies, to friends and sisters all while holding their beautiful bouquetssss. Ughh, 😭❤️

I’ve been intrigued by masculine energy lately. The low tone of voice, the directness, and the darker hues. @braimahlawal.art was a recipient of the free shoot giveaway I did last month. Not only is Braimah an incredible artist, but his vigor for life and his craft really picked me up when we created this past Saturday.
When I asked him how he was doing he said: “Man, I’m just so grateful. You know, that’s the highest vibration we can exist at.” I nodded in agreement.
“I have my solo exhibition Tuesday. I have money to invest in my art. I’m just so grateful.” Hearing him say that grounded me into the space instantly.
“I have money to invest in my art.”
When was the last time I even expressed thanks for that?
