🎺 What started as a passion project for lifelong ska fans Tim and April has grown into one of the world’s biggest ska music festivals—right here in Hampton at Fort Monroe. Every year, ska fans from across the country head to Fort Monroe for a weekend of live music, community, and waterfront views at the @supernovaska .
Tim and April shared: “We launched Supernova in Fredericksburg back in 2014, but Hampton, right by the bay, was always the dream. That dream became reality in 2021 at Fort Monroe, and it’s been home ever since. Every year, nearly 80% of our fans travel in from outside Virginia, and what they talk about most isn’t just the music, it’s the warmth, the welcome, and the people of Hampton. We truly couldn’t imagine a better place or community to host Supernova.” ❤️

Perfect for walking, jogging, or biking, this shared-use path offers a peaceful escape right in the city—passing behind the Hampton Coliseum and along Coliseum Lake.
At the Air Power Park end, a raised boardwalk overlooks Newmarket Creek, creating a great spot for nature watching.🐦
