HP015 - THE GRAEHALE
[REDACTED] RESEARCH REPORT X A5 X 24 PAGES X DIY STAPLE STITCH X 160 GSM OUTER X 80 GSM INNER
Created by P.A. Farren with additional artwork by Neheroth (@neheroth )
The Graehale is an epistolary novella – building on a proud tradition of wyrd fiction masquerading as official letters or reports - like Daniel Defoe’s 1722 book “A Journal of the Plague Year” written decades after the 1665 London breakout of bubonic plague that it purports to officially record. P.A. Farren’s short, smart horror story is set in 2025 and features redacted M.O.D reports and documents, personnel screening records, process flow charts, location maps, equipment manifests and RCMP metrics.
At this particular moment in time human dependence upon a machine interface with the digital world is now almost complete – as explored in many Adam Curtis documentaries, All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace, Hypernormalisation, Can’t Get You Out of My Head, Shifty etc. Now Artificial Intelligence permeates everything so effectively it blurs the lines between what is real and what is invented.
Thus, The Graehale is for connoisseurs of SCP’s, subterranean psy-ops and true wyrd fiction, the story presenting as a series of redacted reports and documents from the Ministry of Defence relating to an isolated rural site in Cumbria with a long history of “strange goings-on” – unexplained lights in the sky, animal exsanguination, apports and other events similar to those reported at Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk in the 1980s.
The deception is inside here.

Another tale of nameless horror and endless torture from the warped mind of Hammer Pulp scribe Neheroth with full-page illustrations and vignettes by the same in the Hammer Pulp signature black and white. This tale of the Wyrchhammer is once again set in the iron-hued city state of Neraephon and introduces us to the beautiful patrician Annria and the giant gladiator Walendict who together journey into the depths of depravity, sadism and outright cruelty. Splatterpunk grim dark fantasy taken to the extremes of excess. Hearts taken, heads impaled and sons slaughtered by the avarice of anger made manifest by hatred of static monism.
Not for the faint hearted.

UK ACTION/BATTLE ACTION COMIC 1977-1979
Published between 1976 and 1977, Action was a subversive, violent and anarchic UK comic created by Pat Mills and Geoff Kemp. Banned after 86 issues for its infamous “Aggro is a way of life! Kids rule O.K.” story featuring a cover of London aflame with a copper about to get battered by a chain wielding punk kid hooligan, after which it would be merged with the more soft Battle, with Pat Mills removed from the comic for his anti-authurotarian and chaos culture attitude. Later Pat Mills would create arguably the greatest British comic of all time, 2000AD, in which he used the sheen of sci-fi, fantasy and wyrd fiction to gloss over the subversive elements he would continue from his days with Action.
Features some of the earliest works of Pat Mills, John Wagner, Massimo Belardinelli, Gerry Finley-Day, Tom Tuly, Kim Raymond and Steve MacManus; and includes such bloodstained stories as Hellman of Hell Force, Hookjaw, Blackjack, Death Game 1999, The Coffin Sub and Hell’s Highway.

HP010 - HOW TO TALK TO YOUR DAUGHTER ABOUT ETRUSCAN ANTIQUITIES FORGERY
MUSEUM FRAUD EXPOSE SATIRE X A5 X 24 PAGES X DIY STAPLE STITCH X 160 GSM OUTER X 80 GSM INNER
Created by Morgan Stern
Design by Neheroth (@neheroth )
Another first for Hammer Pulp – who knew that Etruscan Antiquities Forgery would be a thing? And this slim tome provides valuable insight into the persistent forgeries that dogged Etruscan antiquities during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and indeed, continue to do so in the present day. Hot from such controversies still raging in the world of classical antiquity Morgan Stern has trawled the corridors of august institutions like the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the British Museum and the Cleveland Museum of Art to challenge the “great lies” like the Etruscan Terracotta Warriors, the Penelli Sarcophagus and the meme-friendly Boar Vessel.
Forgers frequently employed sophisticated methods to enhance the plausibility of their creations. These included the artificial ageing of surfaces, the incorporation of genuine ancient fragments, and the invention of hybrid iconography that appeared consistent with known Etruscan motifs. Such strategies enabled fabricated objects to circulate undetected for decades, shaping scholarly interpretations and museum displays alike.
In response, contemporary approaches to authentication have become increasingly interdisciplinary. Techniques such as thermoluminescence dating, pigment composition analysis, and microscopic surface examination now complement traditional stylistic and contextual evaluation. The legacy of Etruscan forgeries serves as a cautionary reminder of the interpretive challenges inherent in reconstructing ancient cultures and highlights the ongoing need for rigorous, collaborative methodologies in the protection of cultural heritage. So - talk to your daughter about the Bolsena fibula at the first opportunity!

NEW GHOST JAZZ BOOKS
More hard boiled absurdist horror from Ghost Jazz Books, this time in the form of two new Dr. Dr. Philip D’Abluccio chapbooks—as well as various other tales of terror—have neen added to the Hammer Pulp distro, these featuring fully-fledged comics alongside the usual pictorial putrid short stories to be expected from the House of Ghost Jazz. Furiously funny, comically chaotic and insanely imaginative, Ghost Jazz Books are some of my favourite subterranean pulp fiction from the States and should be nabbed by anyone looking for a wyrd, wacky and wonderful adventure.
Wyrd detective stories published by Ghost Jazz Books (@ghostjazzbooks ) in the United States.

HP008 - THE CRONE
WYRD FOLK HORROR X A6 X 24 PAGES X PROFESSIONAL STAPLE STITCH X 250 GSM OUTER X 90 GSM INNER
Story by Dutch Pearce
Design by Neheroth (@neheroth )
Edited by Ed Irwin
This pocket-sized monochrome chapbook in the style of M.R. James, skilfully implies malevolence and terror without resorting to blatant descriptions of outright violence and bloodletting. To greater effect in scaring the hell out of the reader – because what each bibliophile imagines, is, of course, much more frightening than any simple account of awful murder and sly illusion could ever be.
The Crone fabulous tale of loss and madness from the subterranean author Dutch Pearce, brought to unsettling life with awesome black and white illustrations and design from chaos wyrdo Neheroth – I promise you, dear reader, you will never view Rene Magritte’s self-portraits and other surrealist paintings in the same way again. Sumptuously printed on high quality paper, lavishly illustrated in the Hammer Pulp monochrome house style with full page original illustrations and a 2-page centre spread, this little book of folk-horror is sure to appeal to the lover of wyrd fiction.
The book’s dark treatment of loss, represented by the apple and its connotation with the expulsion from Eden, and concealment, symbolised by the fungus, signifying decay, transformation and mysteries mean you may never feel the same about surrealist art again.

HP003 - SKELEKITTY
DARK FOLK FANTASY X A5 X 44 PAGES X DIY STAPLE STITCH X 160 GSM OUTER X 80 GSM INNER
Created by Helix
There is a certain serendipity to the new publication Skelekitty dropping on my desk today,
because it is weirdly synchronous with the addition of a new Fury to our household – with
Gagatis joining Megaera, Tisiphone and myself in the Citadel of Arrogance just yesterday. A
dark feline influence is now weaving itself around the Hammer Pulp talpids that is brought
vividly to life in this little book of rhymes and illustrations.
For those readers familiar with the works of Hilaire Belloc (Cautionary Tales for Children:
Designed for the Admonition of Children between the ages of eight and fourteen
years), Syd Barrett (Matilda Mother), Jamie Rix (Grizzly Tales for Gruesome Kids) and
Edward Gorey (The Gashlycrumb Tinies: or, After the Outing) the Skelekitty poet and
illustrator, Helix, has scribed a number of ghoulish verses that should prove particularly thrilling to both readers young and old. Those feline acolytes of darkest lament can gain valuable insights from the publication that will help carry them through the vicissitudes of modern life, enabling them to meet with triumph and disaster, treat those two imposters just the same, and achieve their desired results by focusing on impact, not just tasks.
