The other week Jon and Tyler came to the forge for a day's intro to Mig welding! They brought their own machine and, whilst practicing using mine, I got it up and running for them, then got them using it too! They left feeling m uch more confident and easily. Pulling off fillet and butt joints! We even welded up an anvil stand for Jon's anvil!

There are new course dates for this summer available on my website, and a new course available: copper repoussé, taking you through chasing your own wallart in copper sheets!
Ill be making a proper anouncement regarding this in coming days, as one class will be held at my forge and one at The Great North Museum (Handcock) in newcastle.

3 commissioned axes all finished up and ready for a leather sheathed, before heading off to their new homes!
From top to bottom, a 1.5lb reproduction of the Mastermyr siding axe, a 2lb bushcraft hatchet, and a 2lb modern siding axe. Two hafts are northumbrian Ash, one is American hickory, all are 14" long.

An order of Hedaby arrowheads off to their new home. The big star-winged ones are really tricky to forge! Theres some weight to them as well, so would want a hefty draw weight for the bow made to loose them.
I love little orders like this, forcing me to revisit patterns I haven't forged in a while. Forces me to try and read my handwriting in my notebook for the tips i learned last time i made them 😂
