This lantern has been in my wife’s family for over 40 years. Her Dad bought it at an auction when she was a little girl. It’s the lantern they would hang on the back of a caboose on a train. Tonight my curiosity got the best of me and I opened it up to find a wick in the bottom. I put some lamp oil in the reservoir and it lit up like it was made to do it. It’s so cool to see it glowing in front of our house!
