14 August 2025 and what has followed since….! Climate change no longer knocks at our door, it has stepped into every home, touching every life in Pakistan, whether rich or poor. In these past three years, this land has given me more than words can ever capture, and it has shown me that we Pakistanis are truly among the most blessed. But blessings come with duty. If we do not stand together now, as one heart and one voice, we risk losing not just the present, but the future. Let us rise…. for the sake of our children, and for the generations who will inherit this soil long after we are gone.

Finally got my hands on @walksinmybackyard by @col.sherkhan - a book chronicling his climbs and legendary adventures across the world’s highest mountains. Colonel Sher Khan has become more than a friend, he’s a mentor, and a powerful reminder of the good times I shared with my late father, Brig. Imtiaz Azim, a fellow mountaineer who helped build the KKH in the 70s.
There’s no doubt in my mind that Rakaposhi belongs to the Colonel. His summits are now etched not only in history but also in these pages, forever immortalised.
Can’t wait to dive in. Who knows…. maybe one day it becomes a film… and if it does, I’m definitely auditioning for the lead 🤙🏽⛰️ Or better still - I am willing to produce it and take the lead….. 😊👀
