On April 28, Hamilton County businesses and commissioners made history at the first-ever Hamilton County ReSource Pledge Day — signing a public commitment to reduce waste and lead on sustainability.
Our data shows more than 70% of commercial waste in Hamilton County could be diverted from landfills. That’s not a challenge. That’s an opportunity.

Recycling Myth: “If it’s glass, it’s recyclable.” Actually, items like glass Tupperware and drinking cups are “contaminants” in your bin! They don’t melt at the same temperature as pickle jars or soda bottles. Keep it simple:
✅ YES: Bottles and Jars (think pickles, pasta sauce, wine).
❌ NO: Cups, Tupperware, and Bakeware.
