2022-23 @thedroneracingleague Runner-up World Champion 🥈: The highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Nothing quite compares to the rollercoaster of emotions drone racing brings to the table (or rather the flight deck)... From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, I got to experience them all throughout this entire season. I´ve had to overcome massive upsets, self-doubt, and many other difficulties thrown my way this year. There were moments in which I felt unstoppable and others where I felt like everything was falling apart. After the finals in Miami, I had to take some time off to process everything that had happened in those last few races. It might sound silly to some, but it wasn´t easy to appreciate the 2nd place finish at the end of the season. It felt more like a loss than a win at the time, after leading and dealing with the unthinkable task of holding off my biggest rival mckfpv for so long. Although it was hard to accept defeat, I´ve come to terms with the result and am beyond proud of what I accomplished: I beat, defended against, and stayed ahead of the best and most talented drone racers there are. I even led the DRL @algorand Worldchampionship and made MinChan Kim look human at times. Something I never thought I´d say. No one can take that away from me. I got closer than I ever could have imagined to my dream of becoming the first European DRL World Champion. Congratulations to @mckfpv for 🏆 the world championship title and to @amarifpv for 🥉 3rd and the greatest comeback in history! I learned so much this season and grew so much as a person and as a pilot. I am now more determined than ever to continue putting in the hard work and dedication to reach my childhood dream of a world title 🙌 It´s not over until I WIN 🏆 I am so grateful and feel privileged to have gotten the chance to race in front of my friends, family, and fans alongside the best in the world. FPV Release Plate: Designed for a seamless transition from traditional hard mount to flight. Utilizing an electromagnetic plate with remote control, we were able to release the drone at the exact moment desired. Several tests, rehearsals, and trust between the pilot and stunt riders were conducted to execute this shot. And yes, we can also do this with larger drones and cameras.
