Pupdate time! "We adopted Moose (Formerly Pedro) back in January and I thought I'd reach out and give an update. When he came to us, we weren't sure that he even knew how to be a dog, was an anxious, confused pup. Those days are long gone. He has truly been a fantastic addition to our family. His training has been coming along swimmingly, and we have started service task training. Recently discovered he is afraid of fish.... figures. We were at PetSmart doing some training. We ended up next to the fish tanks, so he got curious. The second it moved, he jumped back in fear and fell over 🤣 A 100lb dog is terrified of tiny fish lol. He loves his housemate pup and our kids but is truly velcroed to my side when I'm home. Moose seemed a more fitting name as he doesn't seem to feel any pain and has the worst coordination of any other dog I've met. Moose spends his days on road trips, face fully out the window, chasing ropes, learning new tricks/tasks, and taking his three naps a day. Thank you!" We think Moose is a great name! He was also one of our successful Staycation Foster to Adopt pets. The program has had an 80% success rate since its launch back in Nov. of 2025.
